Bradford House Chiropractic & Wellness Centre covers the Winchester, Salisbury, Andover, Eastleigh, Romsey, Southampton, Petersfield and Hampshire areas.
The clinic was opened in 1989 by David Byfield DC and originally based in Stockbridge Road. It was later taken over by Henrik Lauridsen DC who moved the clinic to St Clements Surgery in 1997. Max Atkinson DC took over as principal in 1999 and continues to own and run the clinic at its brand new site, following its relocation in 2025.
The clinic is situated on the ground floor of a respected central Winchester GP Surgery. There is a sizeable and comfortable waiting area with an array of current magazines and water dispenser. The two treatment rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art Atlas chiropractic tables in addition to a plethora of treatment aids including low level laser devices, shockwave, electrotherapy and ultrasound devices, activator instruments, professional “thumper” and Theragun massage devices and rehabilitation equipment.
Our latest piece of equipment is the Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT). This is a form of phototherapy which involves the application of low power monochromatic and coherent light to injuries and lesions to stimulate healing. LLLT is used to increase the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair, resolve inflammation and give pain relief.
LLLT has been found to offer superior healing and pain relieving effects compared to other electrotherapeutic modalities, especially in the early stages of acute injuries and for chronic conditions. LLLT can also be used for acupuncture point stimulation. LLLT is a universal method of treating muscles, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue and bone and skin tissue with one simple piece of equipment. However the best results are achieved when it is used to compliment other manual therapy techniques. It is non-invasive, drug-free, pain free and of short duration – usually 2-5 minutes per treatment.. You can read more about it here.
