Ultrasound scans are painless and noninvasive procedures that use high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the inside of your body – a sonogram or ‘sound-drawing’. You will likely recognise these scanners as they are commonly used with pregnant women to check-up on babies in the womb.
We use a specialised service at the AECC University College. The team of trained sonographers, radiologists and healthcare professionals at the AECC are there to support you through your scan.

Ultrasound scans are really useful if you have issues with pain, swelling or infections or conditions with blood flow as it takes images of the internal organs and displays them on a screen in real time. The radiologist or sonographer can interact with your body during the scan to help get clear results and you can see what’s happening.
The diagnostic ultrasound scan costs £105 per body part which includes a written report sent to the referring chiropractor within 1 to 2 days.
